Question:Lately i installed a gigabyte geforce 9400 gt vga card on an asus p5kpl-am/ps and connected to the monitor through HDMI DVI cable and since then sound from my machine started skipping even when browsing the internet or through my files
My pc configuration
intel core2duo e7300 2.66/3M
4 GBs of Ram (kingstone)
Built in sound card realtek alc662
Western digital hard disk 160gb + western digital green 500GB
Software windows vista x64 bit sp2

I was able to find a solution from the manufacturer's website regarding issues with sound with 9400GT graphics card. Have a look at the link below and update the HDMI audio codec to latest version.

Answer 2:i made another step and it worked i changed the motherboard with another one i had
the gigabyte p43 and it worked perfectly
it seemed to be a compatability problem between the gigabyte vga and the asus motherboard
