[Answer]Corrupted Media Usage Rights

Question:A few days ago I upgraded my AMD processor with an Intel processor and since then, when I attempt to play previously purchased videos, I get the following message:  "Your media usage rights have become corrupted or are no longer valid. This might happen if you have replaced hardware components in your computer."  Previously to the upgrade, the videos worked fine.  When I attempt to search for a solution to the problem via the Internet, I get referred to DRM and when I attempt to find DRM in the registry, the file cannot be opened so I can delete it (if recommended).  Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Windows Vista x64 with an Intel Core Duo CPU 3.0.

Hi Dennis1825,

Thanks for using the Answers Forum.

You will probably have to visit the website you purchased them from to update the DRM information for the file.

Please let us know if this helps.

Answer 3:I am trying to play previously purchased MSN music on a new computer. When I try to play a song, I get a window labeled media usage rights acquisition. I click on the button labeled, "I already own this song" and it then says it's "downloading media usage rights." It then syas it is "acquiring media usage rights" but gets stuck at this point. Any idea how to get past this and play the files?
