Question:I have an Inspiron 9300 laptop and Windows 7 Beta doesn't recognize my wireless card. I tried going to Dell's website and I either couldn't find or install anything to change that. Any suggestions?

Answer 2: Hello Jaywise,
When you enter into the Device Manager, is there is notification on your Network Adapter signifying an error? Ok after looking into this issue abit more, it appears that this computer had originally been designed for Windows XP. You have installed Windows 7 and WLAN drivers are not functioning successfully. Attached is the Dell site with the Drivers http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=INSPIRON9300

I would like for you to attempt to install the WLAN Network Adapater Drivers on your computer. However, instead of running the download from the internet, I would like for you to save it in a folder on your computer. Once the Driver.exe file has been saved on your computer, I would like for you to Right click on the Setup.exe file and click the Compatibility Tab. Run this program in compatibility mode (Windows XP SP2) click apply and Ok. Run this program as the administrator. This should install the correct drivers on your laptop. If you would please verify if you are able to successfully access the internet from the WLAN.
Thank you,

Answer 3:I'm having the same problem except I have the Dell Truemobile 1400 Dual Band Mini-PCI card. I have tried your suggestion by downloading the driver to my Desktop & used the Compatibility Tab on the Driver exe to run it in Compatibility Mode for XP-SP2 w/ Admin rights. However, it still gives me an error at the end that it cannot install the driver.
I've tried turning off my Antivirus during this install (as above) but same results.
I know my my Latitude D600 is long in the tooth but everything worked with Vista loaded on this PC including the Truemobile 1400.
Thanks for any other ideas for getting this driver installed.
