[Answer]Windows Photo Gallery not showing some jpg pics

Question:

some pictures scanned at 2400dpi jpg images will not load and be displayed. double clicking on thumbnail opens viewer, "Photo Gallery can't open this picture" is displayed. physically larger file size pictures, 7MB, will not load. smaller ones, 5MB, do.

I'm thinking your scanning resolution is
way too high.

Answer 3:Thank You for taking the time to respond to my problem. The main point was that every picture could be viewed, manipulated, and burned in XP's picture viewer. Can XP's picture viewer be downloaded and used in Vista 64bit? Or are there settings in Windows Photo Gallery that could be changed?
