I have Vista Ultimate 64-bit & I get the exact same message when i try to start Media Center.  I have exhausted any location I knew to look for an answer.

Answer 3:Hi Kenshei,

A couple of possible options -

Try changing your settings under ControlPanel/Programs/Program Acess & Comp Defaults and also under ControlPanel/Programs/Set your default programs.  Make sure you check the "Allow Access to Program" button for media center.

or-

You also may be able to correct it by editing your registry. First, back up your registry, then go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaCenter

If there is a DWORD in it called "MediaCenter" with a value of "1", delete  it.
