Question：Hi, I need some help linking my PC running Vista and WMP11 with my Denon AVR3808. It was working fine until recently, but has stopped working and the AVR3808 can no longer see the PC.
I have isolated virus and firewall software (Sophos) and it is not that, I have ensured it is not a problem on the network and I have the latest firmware on the Denon.
The PC can "see" the Denon in the network devices list and also a laptop running Vista. The laptop can also "see" the PC and play audio. I have uninstalled .Net framework and reinstalled 1.1 and 3.5, I have ensured that all sharing media functionality is "on", but am now clean oput of ideas.

Looking on the site for your Denon AVR3808, it looks there is support for this problem.
Though this isn't a "Windows" problem, there seems to be work around.
Check your search for "Denon AVR3808" and you will see the work around.
With your network, it seems you have done the basic steps to assure your being able to "share".
You might have installed or downloaded something that affected the Denon AVR3808?
Check your "msconfig" in the Run prompt to see if you might have something running that's causing it to drop, or not be picked up.
If you can see the device, there almost has to be a problem on in the "Device Configuration"

Answer 3：Hi Don,
I have searched for rthe Denon AVR 3808 but get a nil return. Do you have the link? I am not sure it is the Denon as the AVR 3808 can "see" my vista laptop and play music from that, it is just the PC it cannot see.
