Accounts ( administrator-user)

Question:I bought a new pc with windows vista, family edition, 64 bit. Installing windows, I opened an administrator account in my name, first name only ( claude). Later I used windows easy transfer files to transfer all my date from my old computer using windows XP. I made a mistake at that time and i wrote my name with my family name. the situation is that i have an administrator account ( Claude) and another one ( claude desmarais) containing all data and parameters of my old computer. Is there a way  to correct this situation . My wish is to have only one account( claude) containing my parameters, files, pics, music and on.. of my old pc.

many thanks in advance

Claude ( excuse my english..)

Answer 1:Copy the data from the folders in C:\Users\Claude Desmarais to the corresponding foldes in C:\Users\Claude .  Verify that everything is there, then go to Control Panel > Classic View > User Accounts > Manage another account and delete the unwanted one.  To be doubly safe, click Keep Files when asked, which will create a folder on your desktop containing the deleted account's files.
