Question：I'm currently running Stopzilla on my laptop to halt spyware etc. I decided today to check for an upgrade and proceeded to to so. However, when I rebooted my machine, all my settings have changed, I've lost all of my personal files (photos, videos, etc). Its as if my machine was wiped!! Can anyone advise on what may have happened? Thanks.
Answer 1：Are you sure you logged in as the same user (the one where all your files and settings are located)? You may be using the wrong profile. You can check in Control Panel/ User Accounts (assuming you're using Vista).
Answer 2：Hi Lorien,
I only have 1 profile on my machine!!! It appeared to go mental when I updated IE to IE8 - I deleted it a while back as i preferred to use Mozilla.
I'll double check the profile thing just incase I've logged in as a visitor.....

Answer 3：Nope still showing me as being logged into my account.
One thing that is a little is odd is if I go to the recently changed folder, and click on file location on a pic, it appears that all my files are there??? but when I follow the path they're not???
