Question:I've had this Vaio laptop with MS Vista Home Premium for over a year and recently, my auto update keeps telling me I need this important update on my machine. It tries to update my laptop but continues to fail. It's been trying to update this particular file now for a month. I tried to do it manually and that fails too; however, it won't go away. It also generates a lot of error report messages and uses up space on my hard drive which I have to clean out every week.
I use a Sony Vaio laptop with MS Vista Home Premium that I've had over a year without any problems. It's a VGN-AR320E, if that means anything.
Please help.

What errors are you getting when this fails to update? I have looked into this download and attached a link below that discusses problems with this specifically. Please let me know if this has resolved your problem or if you are still having any issues.

Answer 2:Hi James,
I have the same problem, I think. I just tried running updates and it says it's installing "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (KB955706)", but then it ends with this: "Some updates could not be installed. The following updates were not installed: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (KB955706)". No further information is given.
I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 on a Gateway GM5260 Intel Core2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz with 2 GB of RAM.
What additional information would help you understand this problem?
Thank you,
Chris.
Answer 3:Hello LeFlake,
Thank you for your reply!
Are you able to verify if the download was successful or not successful? I know you recieved the error but just want to verify. Also are you recieving any other error codes? Please let me know.
