windows media center, not player, isnt working

Question：can anyone please help me figure out why my windows media center isnt working. as soon as i turn it on it goes off with an error message. the only thing the error message says is there was a problem that made it stop working. please some one help. it used to work, now it is just starting to frustrate me.

Thank you for posting on the forum. I was hoping that you were able to catch the whole error message that you're getting when Media Center stops working. It would make it easier to find out what could be causing the problem.  Here a couple of articles that you can look at and see if it applies to your issue:

I have tried to get this error page up http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947464 with no avail (keeps saying it cant find this page on the microsoft help and support page)

im having the same problems as above every time i try to start the windows media center it starts up for 10-30 seconds then it crashes saying

media center has stopped working!!

if there is any way you could help me it would be greatly appreciated!! slainte
