Windows media player wont open...

Question:Whenever i want to play music I use windows media player, but a few months ago (and its still happening) whenever i click on it to open it doesnt respond my mouse symbol will do the load symbol for 2 seconds and then go back to normal, it just doesnt open... no error reports no freezing or crashing, just  my mousekey loading for 1 second and then nothing, its like windows media player just doesnt listen and doesnt open when i tell it to, any ideas why this is happening cause this is very frustrating.

Answer 1:Hello JC3.0,

Thank you for posting.  Have you made any changes to you computer that might have caused the problem.  We can try to do a system restore to just before you started having the problems with Media Player.
Below is a helpful link with directions on how to use system restore.

Answer 3:Hi JC3.0,

It seems that you might have some corrupt files on you computer.  We can try a check disk scan to  resolve this.  I've provided a link below with the full steps on how to do check disk scan.
These steps work for both 32 bit and 64 bit Vista.

Please let me know how this works.
Zack
