Question：my Dell All In One 920 printer is not compatible with the 64 bit verdion of Vista. I've downloaded and installed a patch, but it appears it does not make the printer "whole" again. I presently have no ability to scan. I believe the problem is that my system contunually fails to install a Windows update. It is a Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.0, Service Pack 3, (KB928367). My system has been trying to install this update since July 18, 2009 with no success.
Can anyone explain why this update fails to install and what can be done about it?

Download Microsoft .Net Framework removal tool from the link:
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/attachment/8904493.ashx
Then remove all the versions of .net framework from the computer.
Restart the computer and run Windows Updates.

Answer 2：I did as you suggested, and it re-installed the .NET 3.5 version but still failed to install the 1.0 version.
Answer 3：Then uninstall all the .net frameworks again and download the .net framework manually and install it from the link below:
