Question:Hello! I hope someone can help me with this problem. I just purchased Home and Student version of MS Office for my new Gateway T-series laptop. I got as far as configuration, then I received this error message:
Error 1406. Setup cannot write value to the registry key
\Sketchobj.SketchInk. Verify that you have sufficient permission to
access registry or contact MPSS for assistance.
C:\users\Pauyla\AppData\Local\temp\setup000005bo\PSS1OR.CHM
MS Office Online Store can't help with this problem. They referred me to a tech support link, where navigating is not easy for this only moderatly competent with tech issues. Can only out there help me understand what I need to do to get this softward download configured for my laptop? THanks!
Answer 1:Try this and see if it helps.
Run the installation with administrator privileges. To do this find the setup.exe file on the cd and right click it and then pick run as administrator. See if that helps.

Answer 3:I tried this, but when i click on setup.exe, Vista asks me for permission to run, I click 'Allow', the clock spins for a second then nothing happens. Brand new PC w/Vista home Premium and the Office Student/home they sold me with it!
