Question：Running XP Home, SP3 all security updates installed through 08-12-2009. After the last round of updates downloaded and processed, on reboot, the machine is in reboot loop out to a blue screen with c000012a fatal error, with error code of 0xc0000142. Attempts to use the Repair Facility on the XP Install disk fails, as the disk does not find a valid XP installation on the machine. Using another boot tool, I can see that all the directory structure and files are still on the C drive as they should be. Safe Boot or attempts to go back to last known working configuration do not work either.
How do I get out of this situation?
I do have access to a registry editor at this point.

Answer 2：I get the same error message in Vista, 0xc0000142, but only whenI try to start Second Life application. Everything else works fine..
Any clues on how I fix this ???
