Windows Vista, what region is the DVD player?

Question:I recently bought a Dell Studio 17 laptop the Home Premium edition. I live in the USA. I've never used Windows Vista before and I wanted to know if there is a way to find out what region my DVD player is on my computer please. I hope this is the right place to post this, my apologies if it isn't. Thank you.

You can find that information by the following steps.

1) Right click on the DVD drive and then click on Properties.
2) under the hardware tab, select the DVD drive and click properties again.
3) Under DVD region, you will find what region is your DVD of.

Be aware that if you change the region settings you are limited to 5 changes.
