Hi Tahoe Tom,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Yes, you can try using Windows Movie Maker to import your video to your computer.  Using Movie Maker will convert the file that compatible with Media Player.  You'll also be able to edit it, publish and burn your video to a DVD.

Here's a link to an article on:

Hope that helps, please post back and let us know if that worked for you.

Answer 2:Dear JohnD,
While trying to sort out my problem of playing video clips from my Sony Cybershot DSC-T70, I found Windows Media Player unhelpful as it did not support .THM fles. Trying to get this online led me to your note on this page concerning trying to do it through Windows Movie Maker. My comp uses a Windows XP and it did not import the videos from the My Videos folder of My Documents. So I am back to square one. Any ideas? Would really aprreciate your help or from anyone else listening iin. Thanks. Eagerly waiting.

.THM files are not video files they are thumbnail files.

The Sony DSC-T70 records video in the .mpg format.
