[Answer]error code 80070490

Question：Hi. I have vista home edition premium and can't update anymore since mid April. I realized this yesterday and viewed the history and saw that since march very few updates have been installed. I tried installing them manually but error code 80070490 comes up. Can anybody help me. I'd really appreciate it, I'm farely new at this. Thanks

This issue may occur if there is corruption in the Component Based Servicing (CBS) manifest. To resolve this error please follow these steps in the KB article below

Answer 2：I'm also getting this error code. When I try to update windows according to the instructions (ie using the CD) I'm not permitted to upgrade because that option is not permitted after going on line. WHAT TO DO?
