Downloaded another tv tuner program to test the hardware and it works fine. Media Center just shuts off whenever I try to watch live TV

If you are going to keep the newly installed program I suggest trying a sfc (steps below) if not uninstall the other program and see if Media Center 2005 issue are resolved.

Answer 2：I'm having the same problem. I took the steps but it wants me to insert a Service pack 3 disk? I don't have that. My software is an OEM package that came with the computer. There is no external Windows CD? What should I do next?
