Question:i have a new computer and it requires me to create a system recovery disc. I am not computer savvy, but would really love to get some basic instructions to perform this task. What kind of disc should I use? Was I supposed to receive the discs with my system? Subject to your reccomendations and further questions you might have for me. Thanks in advance
Answer 1:Could you explain the alert subscription and what I need to do?
Answer 2: If the computer manufacturer did not include Vista Disk/s, there should be a Recovery Partition on your Hard drive.
That is the way they do it now, most of the time. We are supposed to make the Recovery Disks ourselves, with instructions included in the installed Manufacturer's Software in Start > All Programs.
If you can not find that, see if a Manual came with the computer, or go to the Manufacturer's website, email or phone them for info on how to make Recovery Disk/s.
Each manufacturer has their own way of making Recovery Disk/s.
Cheers.

Answer 3:Michael,
This is true, although not a hot spot for a consumer to lead towards a purchase if you're computer savy. Unfortunately most people are not computer savy. Therefore they are unaware of the desire to actually having the disc present. If you need to restore your computer, one would assume that it's not functioning properly. That particular partition could be non-accessible/corrupted. Having a disc present, I would consider a fail-safe towards having the tools you need to restoring your computer. I know this is not Microsoft's responsibility. But as a consumer of Micorosoft products, it wouldn't be a bad idea for Microsoft to provide something that it's partners simply refuse to provide. Business is business for both parties, which is why I say that.
