Question:I only get thumbnails on every other recording.
I'm running 32-bit Home Premium SP2, with TV Pack. QuickTime is installed, as are the Gabest MKV and MP4 splitters, and ffdshow beta 6. Thumbnails do appear, but only on every other recording.
Never underestimate your own stupidity.

Hi Samuel Tai,
The issue with the missing thumbnails seems to be with a broken data file. We will have to re-build that file to get the issue resolved.
You can locate the file under C:/users/allusers/microsoft/ehome/thmb/TVThumb.db.
All you need to do is the following:
1) Reboot the computer in the Safe mode and then delete the TVThumb.db file. Then boot the computer back in Normal mode and check for the thumbnail icons (This might take 8-10sec to rebuild).
NOTE: You can get to the Safe mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly when the first screen displays (after you turn on or reboot the computer). Then, by choosing the Safe mode option.
2) I would also suggest running the SFC /scannow in the command prompt. This scans for system files that may have become corrupted and will attempt to repair/replace them.
NOTE: The command prompt should be opened with the admin privileges. To do that, Click on the Start button, then type in "cmd" in the "Start search" bar. Once the cmd icon appears on the start menu, right – click on the icon and from the drop down menu, choose the "Run as administrator" option.
Please try these out and keep us updated about the status.
Take care.
Regards,
Avash M
