Question:
I've searched through other threads on this, and tried all solutions with no results.
I set the HDMI to default playback in the Sound Control Playback tab, disabled the headphone/speaker audio on the laptop, restarted after doing this as well, plugged and unplugged the HDMI cable, and repeated all of the above steps in various orders.
For one brief shining moment after an hour of juggling settings, I had the test audio play on the TV, but when I played back my BluRay DVD- no audio. I unplugged, and tried again this AM but can't get any audio from TV again. Audio plays back fine from speakers when I enable.
I verified the cable is fine- I hook it up to my Xbox360 and it works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am about to get rid of my laptop if this can't be solved.
Answer 1:
Hi Smller,
Thank you for posting on the forums.
What's happening here is that you're HDMI drivers for your chipset is not working properly. Here's a link to a post where another user is having issues with her HDMI connection as well.
Try Jonathan's suggestions and see if you could get it to work. Please post back and let us know if it worked out for you ok.
Best of luck.
