Question:I have tried to create two movies with Movie Maker but the published movie runs for 30-45 seconds and then freezes (both video and audio). The rest of the movie (about 5-10 minutes) just keeps that frozen frame. I have tried several ways to "re-publish" them but the results are still the same. Any ideas?
Answer 1:
Hello UtahRonin,
.
Are you currently getting any errors when the video freezes on your computer? Have you updated all of your video card drivers to the most current version available from the manufacturer? You may also need to check the codecs to make sure that you are using the right ones for playing the video back on your computer.
Are you using Media Player to play the DVD back or some other media playing software?
Go through your settings to make sure that the DVD is configured correctly to play on your computer. Also double check the drivers for your video device and try playing the DVD with another type of media software and see if it helps to resolve the issue.
Let us know if this helps.

Answer 2:I've got the same problem. Take a .wmv file which plays all the way to the end in media player , import it to movie maker, split it into 3 segments, delete the middle segment then publish the result. When you play the new file in media player it stops at the point where it was split. The progress bar keeps moving but the picture/sound do not change.
