Answer 1:Hello Daniel,
Thank you for posting. There is a good chance that your speakers could be bad. Since you have tested them on a known working jack, I would suggest that you try another set of speakers. If the newer speakers work then it would mean that either you speakes are bad or that the connection cable is. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer for guidance on what to do if speakers are bad.
Please let me know if this helps you.

Answer 2:Zack,
Indeed, the speakers were bad. New set of speakers works fine now.
ANOTHER FAVOR TO ASK: In my playing music with Windows Media Players on Dell XPS 210 computer with Vista, someplace in a song there are corruptions "Jumps". However, if I play these MP 3 files in another computer with XP Professional, they are all right.
What could it be done to cure this problem?
Highly appreciated,
Daniel
Answer 3:Try Vista Codecs Pack. You can search it as it's very easy to find. If you have the Vista 64 bit, you will also need the 64 bit extensions add-on for it. You should be able to find the codecs pack at www.codecs.com
I hold to a simple philosophy: just assume everyone's a piece of ____ and then be pleasantly surprised if you find anyone who ain't.
