Windows Media Player 11 Won't Let Me Add or Delete Music

Question:As the title says WMP11 won't let me add music to the library or delete any. Of course I've tried "Add to library" under "file" but nothing comes up and nothing sticks. Also, when I make a playlist and try to save it, it just disappears. Please help, I don't get why it's not working. I have Windows Vista Premium. :(

Answer 1: This issue generally occurs when your Media Play library has become corrupted.  Please see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article:

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library in Windows Media Player 11
To resolve this problem, clear the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
Exit Windows Media Player.
For Windows XP:

Click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

For Windows Vista:

Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.

Note You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.
Restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, clear the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
Exit Windows Media Player.
If you are running Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft, and then click OK.

If you are running Windows Vista, click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
Select the Media Player folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
Restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Answer 2:I have followed this direction and find one file that I cannot delete.  The message I get is that Current Database_360 is being used my another person or program. . . . .  I have closed every program I know runs in the background.  What should I look for next?
