Question:I had a genuine copy of Windows Vista Home Premium installed on my PC. I was facing some problems with my computer, and decided to format the hard disk and reinstall windows. After successful installation, I tried to activate windows, but it says that my product key is already in use. What should I do? I even have the certificate of authenticity as proof that I own my license key.
By the way, this was not the first time I re-installed windows. I have done it a few times earlier but activation had been successful then. I also had a motherboard replacement done after re-installing windows, but before trying to activate it. However, the new motherboard was the exact same model as the previous one.
