Windows Media Player 11 Windows Vista

Question:I Used To Be Able To Open & Listen To Sirius Radio On My Laptoop But All Of A Sudden I Can't. Plus I Cannot Get Windows Media Player 11 To Open I Have Webroot Antivirius

Answer 1:Hi Paul Gotelaere

Thank you for Posting on Microsoft Answers.  After I reply to this, I will be moving this Post to the proper category.

Were you using a seperate application to listen to Sirius Radio or was it through Media Player?

How are you trying to open Media Player?  Through a shortcut on the desktop or through the Programs List?
If a shortcut on the desktop, delete the shortcut and recreate it.

If you are trying to access Media Player from the Programs list, try opening it from the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

Does it open up that way?  Are you getting any error messages?

To rule out that a Service or Startup Program is causing this issue (if the above suggestions do not work), try doing a Selective Startup (Clean Boot):

How-to run Windows in Selective Startup (Clean Boot)…

1.     Click Start, click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click System Configuration.

2.     Click Continue, or provide Administrator credentials if prompted.

3.     Click the General tab, and click Selective startup.

4.     Under Selective startup uncheck Load startup items.

5.     Click the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services box, and then click Disable all.

6.     Click the Apply, then OK, and then Restart.

Answer 2:when i listen to sirius it was the sirius player that i log on to

Answer 3:

Hi Paul

So the biggest concern is the Sirius Radio issue?  I ask because you did not mention if the Media Player issue has been resolved with the suggestions I mentioned :)

In regards to the Sirius Radio issue, have you tried re-installing it?
