Question:i recendly upgrade my pc from xp t vista bussiness. and a month later control panel does not open then windows update does not work. and in validation it shows the windows are not genuine ( the windows are genuine). but if i follow the instruction for validation by ms dos mode it shows tha the windows are guinuine

what method are you using to validate through msdos?
naturally you will begin to lose functionality if you have not activated windows within 30 days. If this is the case I would do the following:
First check that you do have a genuine copy of Vista, see:

Answer 3: i have activated windows vista 2 months ago. My retail copy is a download from microsoft academic aliance throw my university. and the problems began since aftrer my laptop turned off while ugrating to sp1 . if i do validation throw microsoft page shows is not genuine , but if i follow the instuction form dos opening validation software as shown in microsoft page , it shows is genuine . and since this i cant upgrade now windows. any idea fixing that.
