Can anyone help?  I've clicked one everything in the control panel and cant find it. Oh and i have a toshiba satillite.

Answer 1:

Hi CircaSurvive,

Do you have another pair of headphones you can try to make sure that it's not a issue with the headphones that you are currently using?  You can also try plugging these headphones into another device to make sure they are working.  I just wanted you to do this as a troubleshooting step so that we can rule out the headphones being bad before we go forward.  Please let us know.  Thank you.

Answer 2:I did the same thing as CircaSurvive and cannot find my headphones in Device Manager or anywhere else so I can re-enable them.  The speakers work fine, and my headphones work fine when connected to my stereo.  Interestingly, I too am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop.  Rebooting did not solve this problem.

Answer 3:I found the "Display Disabled Devices" option by right clicking on the speakers icon in playback devices.  I then enabled the headphones.  However, although the headphones now work with RealPlayer, they still don't work with Windows Media Player and aren't displayed under Devices on the Options menu.
