Question:I have tried unsuccessfully to download MSN 9.6 to no avail. I ordered a CD to install it directly and it still will not work.
I have a newer HP running Vista with service pack 2 and have high speed internet. When I try to install MSN 9.6 I get a 235 error stating it does not appear I am connected to the internet although I am. I have worked with a senior technician at Microsoft for a week to no avail. Anyone have a solution. I am not real skilled but can follow detaile directions.
Thanks

Hi Microsoft 777,
Thanks for posting your question. This is a Windows Vista support forum but I'll be happy to offer some suggestions that might get you pointed in the right direction. I would recommend checking Windows Live specific resources:

Answer 2:My third attempt with 3 service technicians and I have a solution. I needed to delete the net clr keys to allow the installlation to proceed without the 235 error occurring.
Answer 3:
You can only use msn 9.6 if you are a premium msn customer. This is the right website http://membercenter.msn.com and sign in using your msn email add and password. There should be a link below the picture that says download msn software and just click on it and follow the instructions.

P.s
You need to remove all msn software first before you proceed on reinstalling the new version. The deadline is until Sept. 1 to upgrade your msn browser.
