Question： Hey guys i have an Acer Aspire 6920 laptop and the first day i got it naturally i set a new sound scheme as i do with every computer, it worked great until about last week when all of a sudden they just stopped playing , all the other sounds i left as defult work , but the ones i set for say windows logon, log off, empty recycle bin, device connect, device disconnect, and device fail to conect , just wont play anymore.
I've tried everything, resting them to defult, and reapplying them , but nothing works. can anone please help me out on this one? thanks for your time everyone
Answer 1： Hi Matt,
You might want to try and perform a system restore and choose a restore point from a time before you started having the problem. Hopefully this will get your sounds working again. We have provided instructions for this below.
System Restore:
- Click the Start orb
- Click All Programs
- Click Accessories,
- Click System Tools
- Click System Restore.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. - In the System Restore dialogue box, Select Choose a different restore point
- Click Next
- Choose the closest restore point with a Date and Time before when the sounds were working
- Click Next
- Click Finish
