an update on windows vista is continualy running and will not update anything else

Question：I know very little about computers so if you could make this simple I might be able to fix it :)
I get this error code "WindowsUpdate_80240016" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
Any help?

Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008

Follow these steps:

1. Close any Windows Update or Microsoft Update browser windows.
2. Click Start

   , type Command Prompt, in the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.

   If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command:
   net stop wuauserv
   net start wuauserv
4. Close the Command prompt window.
5. Try to install updates again.

Answer 2：This still doesn't work i've tried iot several time to no avail!
Apparently this error is happening to a lot of p1eople, yet I cannot update my Vista
I think this is pretty important to get this fixed
