Question:2 Questions, I am not sure which forum to ask:
1. I have Vista SP1. I just did a System Restore to try and correct a problem with a web application (Bodybugg). Since this did not work, I then tried to uninstall an update to IE8 from the Control Panel->Programs->Programs and Features->Installed Updates but IE is not there (not listed at all, under any version.) How can I revert to IE7?
2. Additionally, some 3rd party programs I tried to uninstall after the system restore would not uninstall. I believe this is because I uninstalled them before I did a system restore. So now it appears that the programs are listed as available for uninstall, but since they are no longer actually there, they cannot uninstall. How do I get Vista to update the Programs List in Control Panel?
My laptop is a Toshiba purchased 1 year ago, so I don't think there are any HW or Firmware issues.
Answer 1:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/957700
"How do I uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8?"
If necessary, use the Alternative Removal method there.
Or ask in:

"Uninstall and clean-up utility"
Use the above cleanup utility to remove remnants.
Or use the Program's disk to have the options to remove, install, repair : Uninstall it there..
Cheers.
