Question:
I bought a HP laptop in december 2007. It came with Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit Operating system pre-installed on it. It has been working fine untill now, when I need to format and install a new copy of the product. But the Microsoft sticker with original product key at the backside of my laptop has faded and now I cant see the product key printed on it. I called the HP support group and after 2 days they have told me, they cant help me in getting back the vista product key. What shall I do?
Answer 1:http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
If Vista is still running on your computer, use the above program to find your Product Key.
Otherwise, we can not help you.
Vista came preinstalled from HP on your Computer.
When you use Computer Manufacturer's Recovery process, it is normaly an auto reinstall fronm a Recovery Partition..
Cheers.
