Question:I purchased and downloaded the Full Version of Windows Vista Ultimate. I need and was to make an Installation Disk for this where I can perform some Hard Drive maintenance while installing the Program. How can I make a installation disk. There has to be a simple way. If it is an ISO file, select the operating system you are using from above site, and use their software to make a bootable disk.

Answer 2:Hello Mick and thanks for the Info. But the files are not ISO...it is simple to burn the installation files on to a DVD which I have done but it is not bootable DVD. What I am needing is a Bootable Installation Disk where I can do some drive configuration at the time of install. I have installed the program from the XP operating system but I want to be able to make a boot from CD and not that harddrive at the start up of the computer. The same as the XP installation disks that I have or the Installation disks that I would of received if not purchased the download. I do have the Vista Full version and not a upgrade. Thanks again. Answer 3:
Bob, by what I read you have a full retail version of Vista Ultimate.
I have not tried this, as I have not used MS's vista download to get Vista your way.
I don't see why it would not work.
Each DVD Vista disk that you see, Retail and OEM generic Microsoft, NOT DEll HP, etc Recovery(including their Drivers and garbage), has all versions of Vista imbedded in them.
Vista only comes in 2 disks, 32bit and 64bit, each contasining all versions.
It is the Product Key that releases the files to be installed for your particular version, Ultimate.
If you borrowed a bootable vista DVD, and used your Product Key to reinstall, you would then have the options that you require to make a partition.
And you have a genuine Product Key to Activate.
If I am wrong, someone will corrct me!
