Question:Today I have turned on my desktop only for it to display the background photo only. It does not give the desktop ikons or the 'Start' menu key. I have tried opening it in 'Safe mode' so that I can carryout a system restore but this does not allow me access to the 'Start' menu button either. Therefore I am unable to access the Control Panel to gain access to the System Restore feature. I have located the 'control.exe' in the i386 folder but when I try to run this I get a message saying 'Windows cannot find 'explorer.exe. Make sure that you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, then click Search'. But I dont have the Start button. Any ideas?
