Question:
Window's live mail could not be started, telling me the application was unable to open the Windows Live Mail message store and could not find its message database. I have tried to find the missing database files with no luck. I then tried to down load Live Mail again only to get a error message 'No live suite installed' , so I tried to download the suite only to get the same message. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Answer 2:I got a reply of this from windows live help... I use outlook express, but when I opened certain mail it glitched and would not open because it was sent from a windows live mail account... I just deleted the registry key and it worked... hope this info. helps..
Thank you for writing to Windows Live Mail Technical Support. My name is Angel and you mentioned that you are using Outlook Express in Windows XP when viewing your messages and when you received several messages and clicked its attachment, it tries to open Windows Live Mail but you are getting the error "trying to recover the Windows Live Mail database." I understand how important it is for you to have your concern addressed immediately.
Dan, the possible reason why you are being prompted to launch Windows Live Mail when viewing attachments is because this is the default program that is set in your Windows XP. To resolve your issue and in order for you to view your attachments via Outlook Express, please use the steps below:
1. Click the "Start" button, then "Settings" and go to your "Control Panel"
2. In the Control Panel window , choose "Add/Remove Programs"
3. Choose "Set Program Access and Defaults" on the left part
4. Under "Choose a default e-mail program" heading, select "Outlook Express"
5. Click "OK"
6. Restart computer.
However, if the attachments you are pertaining to is in ".eml" file format, this is a Windows Live Mail extension file and you will only be able to view the attachment on Windows Live Mail interface. If this is so, you need to reinstall Windows Live Mail using "clean removal" process. To do this, please refer to the steps below:
http://emailsupport.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5D6F5A79A79B6708!13202.entry?sa=681444564
Note: The "How to remove Windows Live Mail" link has instructions on how to remove the latest and older versions of Windows Live Mail . Since you cannot check which version you are using, please try to follow the one that is applicable.
After you have done the "clean removal," download and install the latest version [14.0.8064.0206] from http://download.live.com .
After installing the program, please follow the steps on how to set up your Yahoo account in Windows Live Mail program using the POP3 setting by going to the link below:
Note: You must be a Yahoo Mail Plus subscriber in order to configure your Yahoo account in Windows Live Mail.
