Question:I have had my acer laptop for a couple of months now, and since about two weeks after i bought the product, when i listen to a song the speakers will make a noticibly loud crackling type noise. I have a feeling it's something to do with the bass as it's much worse when i listen to a bass song.
Answer 1:
Hi Ben,
Let us try to update the audio driver to resolve your issue.
Click on the link below to download the audio driver from ACER website.

If that doesnot work, contact your computer manufacturer as it is most likely defective speakers..

Answer 3:Hi,
Check your driver version in Control Panel - Device Manager - Sound
with the version you downloaded and installed as noted on the website where you found the driver.
Often you have to run a sound driver several times as they roll back then finally install the latest version
so you are likely using the Windows default 06 driver or maybe an older device maker's driver yet not
the latest one.
Also Right Click Speaker near clock - Playback Devices - highlight Speakers - on lower left Configure -
click Next and you can then select full range (once the proper driver is set as above). Also you may
have an Audion Manager in Control Panel (other than Sounds) mine is Realtel Audio manager however
yours (if any) will be made by whoever made the sound device in your laptop as shown in Device
Manager - Sound.
Problems with sound and audio or no sound - a Mr Fixit - these will not replace your driver, you have to do that.
