How do I send photos from a folder to a developing store such as a local pharmacy like XP did?

Question:In XP, if my folder was customized for pictures, I could click in the left pane and go through the steps of selecting where to send them for printing and payment method, etc.  Most local pharmacies and the Kodak distributor participated.

In Vista, my folder is properly customized, but I can find no way to send out for prints.  How do I do this?

Answer 1:

Hello,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft answers forum for windows vista.

Unfortunately, we do not have a an option to print the photos as in Windows XP. All you have to do is , open the photo and then print it via Windows Photo Gallery.

We would also suggest you to contact your local developing store for their website on how to submit pictures to have developed.

Answer 2:

Yes, there is an option to send photos directly from a folder to a developing store, at least on my Vista Home Premium.  If I select a picture in Owner\Pictures\"my picture folder," I can open it with Windows Live Photo Gallery(which I now have associated with JPG files).  All of the pictures in that folder are available to be sent out for printing.  On the top menu bar, click Print > Order Prints..., and a box will pop up with a list of participating printers such as Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Kodak and others.  Select one in your zip code, give your payment info and go get your prints for 19 cents each.

Much easier than messing with a color printer, ink, and photo paper, for me anyway.

Thanks for your reply, Savan
