2 second pause between tracks in WMP

Question:How do I change the default 2 second pause between tracks, in windows media player, when I burn a cd?  I want to burn copies of my band's live shows, but I don't want the crowd noise interrupted when the tracks change.

Answer 1:Hi jason.sloan,

In response to your question, I am going to move this to the sound and media group.  It is in relation to WMP so I will redirect this to that community forum to have more responses from the community and MVP's that review those forum groups.

Just to provide you some insight, WMP has 2 second lag between songs indicating the change of Track.  If this lag time were not there the skip track would lead you to the end of the record.

There is a way to edit that lag, however, it is usually something that is wanted in order to maintain song differences and be able to distinguish between music tracks.

Please let us know if further information is needed or if this assists in resolving this issue.

Regards,

Debbie

Answer 2:

Yeah this is really painful 2seconds for me when trying to burn a live mix from turntables, it was an option in earlier versions of WMP, what happened to it, and your explination make no sense about leading to the end of the record, that never happened before. Where are the options in Vista, are there any? Either microsoft provides me with options or I switch software, its that simple. I understand being 'user-friendly', but its taken too far when options are totally eliminated.
